Di seguito un estratto da una comunicazione di Dr. Gerhard Neurauter, Extedo - Sept.2009,

As a new approach to provide eCTD guidances, the EDQM published “ Submission of electronic applications for Certificates of Suitability (CEPs): Revised procedures” on their homepage two months ago. Please read the following to get an overview about the new requirements:

The EDQM guidance is NOT conform with the established EMEA and ICH guidance (any EU M1 and ICH 3.2.2)
Violation issues:
- New file names in M1 (CoverLetter.pdf, EDQM Application Form….pdf)
- No country folder in M1
- No country prefix, only fixed file, capital letters plus spaces in filenames
- M1 files are located in M2 (difference in filenames)
- New folder m3\Miscellanous
- The following life cycle attributes are used: “New”, ”Add”, “Replace”, “Delete”

EDQM did not provide a new DTD to follow the new guidance provided.

From the guidance point of view, it is NOT possible to create a valid eCTD. EDQM requests to follow the EU validation criteria – but this is not possible with the violation issues described above (1)

In altre parole, EDQM ha deciso un nuovo standard quasi eCTD ..., Andrew Marr durante la sua presentazione all'OpeneCTD di Nizza del 28 Settembre, a seguito di una domanda sul tema, ha evidenziato che saranno a breve fatti degli incontri con EDQM proprio per verificare come risolvere le divergenze rispetto le specifiche eCTD.

In attesa di capire quali saranno le specifiche eCTD finali da parte di EDQM, le aziende possono comunque usare il formato NeeS.
